Express One Slovenia d.o.o. and ŠKL: The League with a Thousand Faces

The publication of the book and release of the film ŠKL: The League with a Thousand Faces marks the end of 25 years of the School Basketball League (ŠKL). The 500-page book covers the history and the creation of the project over the 25 years of its operation, from 1995 to the present day. The written text is enriched by more than 2,000 photographs.

It is particularly gratifying that the book has found its way to schools and readers, as the ŠKL (School Basketball League) is part of the history of many schools, pupils, teachers, school managers, partners and sponsors. More than 350,000 young people have participated in the ŠKL project, including today many well-known Slovenians, who have created a good name for the ŠKL and the youth movement in sport, culture and business. Among these are some famous names such as Beno Udrih, Jaka Laković, Primož Brezec, Boštjan Nachbar, Uroš Slokar, the Lorbek brothers, Jan Špan, Vlatko Čančar, Anja Vilfan, Daliborka Jokič, Nika Barić, Perica Jerkovič, Tanja Žagar, Matija Pleško, Ivica Tomič and others.

Sponsors, which support our efforts to bring sport to a wider range of young people and improve the quality of their time at school, financially support most of the activities of ŠKL. Of course, we must not forget our current partners, which have ensured that books and films have been provided to all schools.

Express One Slovenia d.o.o., a subsidiary of Post Austria, which aims to reach all users in Slovenia with its quality work, has ensured that all 800 schools in Slovenia received the books and films. The ŠKL representatives would like to take this opportunity to thank the company for its contribution.
